TITLE: Get Vertical

SCRIPTURE:  Matthew 6:7-13

DESCRIPTION: A plumb line is a device used by carpenters to align their work vertically; a weight suspended using a line from something that is true. In Amos 7:7-8, the prophet Amos had a vision and saw the Lord, “standing by a vertical wall, with a plumb line is His hand.”  The Lord said to him, “‘what do you see, Amos?’ And I said, ‘A plumb line.’  Then the Lord said, ‘Behold I am about to put a plumb line in the midst of My people.’ “ Jesus said, “My house will be called a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13).  This sermon is about prayer and about restoring the name of God’s house.
